What do I need to hire for the first time?

The information and documentation below needs to be brought to BO’s before customers are able to hire plant or equipment:

  • RSA ID Document – original document required.
  • Proof of address.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Arrive prepared to fill out an application form. Please note that this applies to cash hires only.
  • Five days hire deposit.
  • Some form of bank card (credit/cheque card).
  • Site address to be supplied.
  • Telephone and cell phone numbers to be tested for validity.
  • No cash hires for any plant item >R20 000 in Value.

Where can I return the equipment after use?

Plant can be returned to any Bo’s plant and tool hire branch of your convenience.

Are there any safety requirements to use the equipment?

All customers looking to use BO’s equipment are to ensure they have the relevant safety equipment and protective clothing. In addition, all large and technical plant needs to be run by trained operators for the safety of all concerned.

Is there technical support for my hired equipment?

If for any reason while out on hire, our equipment malfunctions or is not working to the usual standard, feel free to contact the nearest depot and we will send a technician out to you as soon as possible to rectify the situation, allowing you to get back to work as quickly as possible.

Equipment delivery & collection

All BO’s depots offer delivery and collection for our our plant, large or small.  We have a team of drivers dropping off and collecting equipment with the use of our branded BO’s bakkies, as well as our operated crane trucks for your convenience.
