Our story

Born from a vision of a superior customer experience in what was arguably an unfriendly industry, Bo’s Hire opened its doors way back in 2003. Since then our reputation as a customer-centric hire business has enabled remarkable growth.

Our services extend far beyond just the hire of equipment to a more holistic consultation and advisory service, assessing your projects and finding the most efficient solution using the best-suited equipment to ensure cost-effective results.

Bo’s hire currently offers 8 hire shops in KZN and the Eastern Cape. We have evolved from a small single-owner business to a large corporate operation and recently back to a smaller more localized ownership model that is geared toward the economic inclusion of all South Africans.

We envision a future of partnerships with local young entrepreneurs that sees Bo’s hire stores opening in every small town across the country. A vision in which local tradesmen have access to all the equipment they need right on their doorstep, hired to them by people they grew up with and supported by the decades of industry experience of the Bo’s hire group.
